A Subclass-189 Skilled Independent Permanent Resident Visa allows immigrants to Australia to live and work in the country for an unlimited timeframe in any state or territory. They are allowed to enroll in Australia’s Medicare health system and study at an educational institution.
Immigrants with the PR visa will be allowed to sponsor family members to apply for an Australian visa, and if eligible, get social security benefits after living in the country for a certain period of time. They will be able to travel to and from the country, be allowed to start a business, be permitted to purchase property or a home and apply to become an Australian citizen after residing in Australia for four years and completing other criteria.
